Who am I and what I do I do?
-Devonna D. Williams and for 19+ years I coached Collegiate Women’s Basketball for several different institutions. After my long stint as a collegiate basketball coach I retired from coaching in 2011. After I retired from coaching, I continued my passion for fitness. I have established myself as a knowledgeable and educated trainer as I hold certifications in Personal Training, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC), Holistic Health Coach, and Functional Training Specialist. I have worked for various health and fitness institutions for over 20 years. I truly enjoy working and helping clients learn how to live a healthy lifestyle.
I now own JUMP Fitness 101 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. JUMP Fitness 101 is a private personal training studio with a "MIND BODY TWIST", I look at a client as a whole. I find out where they are (in terms of health), where they want to be, and where they want to go (what do they want to achieve by working out with me). I put all of that information together and develop a program specifically for that individual.
What makes me different/stand out?
- I think that what makes me stand out and different from other small training facilities, is that I value my clients and their needs. I work with my clients to help teach them how to live a healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and nutrition. I do not believe in diets! My retention with my clients are extremely high because my clients know that I have their best interest in mind. My studio is clean and inviting with a warm welcome feel. It's a place where people can come to and not feel as though they are on display.
What do my clients love about me?
- My clients love that I am very knowledgeable and passionate about helping them achieve their personal fitness goals.
What is the best advice I can share with others?
- The best advice I can share with others is to make sure the trainer they choose has the right certifications and credentials for their needs. Also how long have they been training? What is their experience with training people with specific needs and if their certifications are all update.
How has the WBL helped me?
- Women's Business League has helped me by spotlighting my business.
